About Montra Bicycles

Montra was founded in 2011 as India's first high-performance bicycle, designed and manufactured in-house by the company. Montra is the premium performance brand in TI Cycles' Track and Trail portfolio, designed to provide Indian cyclists with bicycles that are quicker, lighter, and stronger than anything seen on these roads before.

With the launch of the Montra Techno, the company became the first Indian cycle brand to provide international standard carbon frame bikes in its lineup. Montra also introduced the country's first titanium bike, the Montra Country Titanium, in 2012.

The term Montra means 'My Track,' which emphasises riding on or off the roads according to your preference, building your own routes, and pursuing your goals, always on the search for a new way to view the world. Historical Key Milestones of TI Cycles

In 1951, TI Cycles's first factory was inaugurated by the Maharaja of Bhavnagar who became the Governor of Madras State at that time. The company completed its milestone of one millionth bicycle in February 1960. The company was then awarded by the Government of India as the best outsourcing export performance during 1968-69 and completed its Silver Jubilee in 1974.

In 1992, the company launched the first MTB named Hercules MTB and today it is the largest-selling MTB in the market. Then in 2006, TI launched its first flagship store in Ahmedabad named Track & Trail, which was increased to 150 Track and Trails by 2008 across the country. 

In 2012, TI Cycles was awarded the "Emerging Market Retailer of the Year" in the Asia Retail Excellence Awards 2012. Other TI Cycle brands were also awarded with some honors such as BSA was awarded the “Superbrands 2023 India” tag on September 28, 2023.

TI Cycles, the parent company of Montra, is currently the market leader in the 'Specials' segment, with a national presence supported by a network of around 11,500 primary and secondary dealers, warehouses, and zonal offices.

Montra provides a variety of bicycles in India. Currently, the company offers 24 models which are available to buy in the market.  The most affordable one is the Montra Timba which is available to buy in the market at Rs 15,230, while the Montra Blues is the most expensive with a price tag starting at Rs 55,000.

Latest Montra Bicycles

Montra recently launched a few models in different categories such as for MTBs, the company launched Madrock 27.5T and Madrock 29T. For the Hybrid category, the company hit the roads with Montra Downtown recently. In addition to MTB and Hybrid categories, the company launched Montra Techno, Montra Hypno, and Montra Zap to enhance its lineup in the e-bicycle category.
